Before Trucks Needed to Be Fancy, They Needed to Work

This is one of those trucks.

Meet this 2011 GMC Sierra 3500 4x4 Diesel, now available at North Island Nissan in Campbell River with 222,741 km on the odometer.

It's big.

It's diesel.

It seats six.

And it probably isn't particularly interested in hearing about your crossover's "rugged appearance package."

2011 GMC Sierra 3500 4x4 - 6.6L Diesel V8, 6-Speed Automatic, and Built for Real Truck Jobs

Under the hood is a 6.6L diesel V8 paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive.

In other words, this isn't the truck you buy because you occasionally need to bring two bags of mulch home.

This is heavy-duty territory.

The Sierra 3500 was built for people who actually have truck things to do.

Work.

Equipment.

Trailers.

Property.

Projects.

And the kind of Saturday where someone calls at 7:30 in the morning and starts the conversation with:

"Hey... you've got a truck, right?"

Yes.

Very much so.

With seating for six, there's also room to bring the crew along.

Although once six people discover there's a 3500 available, there's a fairly good chance you're about to become involved in a project nobody mentioned beforehand.

At 222,741 km, this truck has clearly lived a working-truck life.

And honestly?

That's part of the personality.

This isn't a shiny little pavement princess that's spent its entire existence afraid of getting its tires dirty.

It's a used heavy-duty diesel truck.

The kind of vehicle you look at when capability matters more than pretending the bed is decorative.

Four-wheel drive adds another layer of usefulness when the job site, driveway, back road, or Vancouver Island weather isn't cooperating.

And underneath it all, you've got that 6.6L diesel V8.

No tiny engine.

No pretending.

Just a big diesel sitting where a big diesel belongs.

Why This GMC Sierra 3500 Makes Sense

6.6L Diesel V8 - Heavy-duty diesel power for drivers who genuinely need a truck.

6-Speed Automatic - Straightforward automatic operation whether you're working or heading home.

Four-Wheel Drive - Added capability for job sites, changing conditions, and roads that don't always behave like roads.

Seats Six - Bring the crew, the family, or five people who are about to ask you to help move something.

222,741 km - Used, experienced, and clearly no stranger to getting the job done.

3500 Heavy-Duty Platform - This is a serious truck built for serious work.

24,995 - Heavy-duty diesel capability at a price well below what stepping into a brand-new HD truck can mean today.

This Sierra isn't trying to be everything to everyone.

If your biggest hauling requirement is two coffees and a laptop, there are probably easier ways to get around.

But if you need a real truck?

Something substantial.

Something diesel.

Something 4x4.

Something that's already proven it isn't afraid of doing truck things?

Now this starts making a whole lot more sense.
